Brian
Williams currently serves as the Vocal Music Teacher & Choir
Director at Robbinsville High School. After graduating from RHS in 2008,
Mr. Williams went on to Westminster Choir College to obtain a Bachelors
of Music in Music Education and a Masters in Teaching. After
graduating from Westminster as a member of the Class of 2012, he began
his teaching career at Pond Road Middle School and in 2015 had an
opportunity to move to the high school. Brian feels incredibly lucky to
be teaching many talented musicians and amazing people in general. The
irony that, as an adult, he spends his days in the same room that not
only made him fall in love with music but with teaching as well is not
lost on him.
As a young student, Robbinsville Schools offered Brian a wide range of
leadership opportunities and performance experience. He sums up his K-12
days as follows. To this day I'm blown away by the amazing
opportunities students are offered in Robbinsville. Whether related to
the extensive music program or a myriad technology offerings, I feel
like there is a place for everyone, as long as they are willing to look
for it. Wise words and great advice, Mr. Williams!
When asked if he has any guidance for students preparing to graduate, Brian took a moment to reflect. I
know high school can feel really slow at some points, but it's over
before you know it. Enjoy it while you have it! Use your spare time to
better yourself because you'll never have this abundance of time again.
Learn a new skill, spend time with your family, read a good book.
Brian
recently married an incredible young woman. Would it surprise you to
know that she, too, is a music teacher? As a teacher (and a newlywed)
we believe that Mr. Williams' future is bright with possibility. We are
confident that his passion for teaching, for music, and for life will
serve the Robbinsville Schools community well for years to come.
