On Thursday, March 2, 2017, as a way to assist parents in remaining up to date on the latest changes related to PARCC, the district sponsored a PARCC Information Night at Pond Road Middle School.  Approximately 60 parents were in attendance as Acting Assistant Superintendent Kim Tew and Acting Supervisor Amanda Matticks fielded questions and provided a comprehensive presentation focused on graduation requirements and other information related to the upcoming administration of PARCC.

A Brief History: PARCC

The Partnership for Assessments of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) is a consortium of 23 states and Washington, DC that are developing the
next generation assessment system that measures the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and student preparedness for college and career.  New Jersey is one of 18 governing states in PARCC that are closely involved with the development of the assessments. Educators from the K-12 and higher education are involved in the development of the assessments to endure alignment to PARCC's vision.
